The Toronto Blue Jays and the Baltimore Orioles will both be gunning for a victory on Sunday when they meet at Oriole Park.

Anderson made his Toronto debut on Tuesday against Boston and was a tough-luck loser while allowing one run and six hits over 5 2/3 innings. The 29-year-old Texan began the season with the Chicago Cubs before being waived and signed to a minor-league deal by Toronto. Anderson is seeing Baltimore for the first time since 2010 and is hoping to go deeper into the game after being limited to 85 pitches on Tuesday.

Tillman is still looking for his first win since May 7 and was rocked for six runs across 5 1/3 innings by the Seattle Mariners on Monday. The California native is struggling with his control in the last two starts – issuing 10 walks in 10 2/3 frames – and surrendered a pair of home runs in each outing. Tillman kept the ball in the yard and turned in a quality start against the Blue Jays on May 19, but did not factor in the decision while allowing three runs in six innings.

Oddsmakers currently have the Orioles listed as 135-moneyline favorites versus the Blue Jays, while the game’s total is sitting at 10.

The Toronto Blue Jays put themselves in a position to snap a streak of four straight losing series, but it came at a cost. The Blue Jays will try to get some length out of their starter when they visit the Baltimore Orioles for the finale of a four-game set on Sunday.

Toronto starter Marcus Stroman left in the second inning on Saturday after being hit in the elbow with a line drive, forcing four relievers to cover 7 1/3 frames. The Blue Jays are benefitting from the expanded rosters in September and have 15 pitchers on staff to cover the innings and try to keep the Orioles in the park. Baltimore came into the series riding a seven-game winning streak and moving up in the standings but now sits 2 1/2 games behind the Minnesota Twins in the race for the second wild card spot. The Orioles averaged 6.03 runs in August but totaled three in the first two games of September and will try to get the bats going against Blue Jays left-hander Brett Anderson while supporting righty Chris Tillman.

1. Orioles CF Adam Jones hit safely in nine of the last 10 games, with the exception coming when he was ejected in the first inning on Friday for arguing balls and strikes.

2. Stroman had x-rays come back negative and is day-to-day.

3. Toronto 1B Justin Smoak (calf) returned to the starting lineup Saturday following a three-game absence and went 1-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts.
