The TCU Horned Frogs and the Oklahoma State Cowboys will both be gunning for a victory on Monday when they meet at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

ABOUT TCU (14-5, 3-4 Big 12): Brodziansky and Williams both had double-doubles in Saturday’s loss, combining for 35 points and 22 rebounds. And at 13.5 and 10.2 points per game, respectively, Brodziansky and Williams join guard Alex Robinson (10.7) with double-digit scoring averages. Williams leads the team and the Big 12 with 9.7 rebounds per outing while Robinson is second in the conference with his average of 5.4 assists.

ABOUT OKLAHOMA STATE (11-8, 1-6): Junior guard Jeffery Carroll continued his recent roll with a career-high 25 points Saturday and now has topped the 20-point mark in five of his last six outings. It also upped his season average to 17.6 points – just behind guard Jawun Evans’ team-best 17.7 mark – to give the Cowboys two of the top four scorers in the Big 12. Guard Phil Forte III falls just outside the conference top 10 with his 14.1-point average but leads the league in free-throw accuracy at 93.8 percent.

Oddsmakers currently have the Cowboys listed as 3½-point favorites versus the Horned Frogs, while the game’s total is sitting at 159.

Oklahoma State won its last outing, a 83-64 result against Red Raiders on January 21. They covered in that game as a +6.5-point underdog.

Last time out for TCU, they were a 62-53 loser as they battled Bears at home. They failed to cover in the match as a +3-point underdog.

TCU’s surprising season has suddenly encountered a hurdle with its first back-to-back losses of the year. The Horned Frogs will try to get back on course Monday night when they visit Oklahoma State.

On Saturday, visiting Baylor used a late 7-0 run to break open a tight game and hand TCU a 62-53 loss. In hitting a season low in points, the Horned Frogs shot a season-worst 29.3 percent from the field, and aside from forward Vladimir Brodziansky (6-of-14) and guard Kenrich Williams (6-of-12), the rest of the team shot a combined 5-of-32. “We outrebounded them, we had (fewer) turnovers) – things we want to do,” TCU coach Jamie Dixon said in his post-game news conference. “But simply put, the shooting percentages always stand out.” Earlier Saturday, the Cowboys had no such issues in Lubbock, shooting 55 percent in routing Texas Tech 83-64 to notch their first Big 12 win of the season and snap their 12-game conference losing streak.
