Houston earned a 31-24 victory over UCF on Saturday in Week 9 action at TDECU Stadium.

The Cougars earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -9.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 59.0 were rewarded with a winning wager.

Duke Catalon rushed for 82 yards, while Dillon Birden added 76 yards in the win. D’Eriq King and Steven Dunbar added 55 and 52 receiving yards respectively.

Jawon Hamilton rushed for 23 yards for UCF, while McKenzie Milton added 21 yards. McKenzie Milton threw for 155 yards for the Knights, while receivers Tre’Quan Smith and Taylor Oldham had 137 and 17 yards respectively.

Houston outgained UCF 398-195 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 22-15 by the Cougars.

The time of possession battle favored Houston as their offense was on the field for 34:14, longer than the 25:46 of their opponents.

Next game, Houston takes its act home to face Tulane looking for another win. For UCF, they head home to face Tulane.
