Isaiah Jones inflicted damage on the UCONN secondary, receiving 185 yards as East Carolina defeated the Huskies 41-3 at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.

East Carolina was a favorite by -6.5 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 53.0.

James Summers rushed for 84 yards, while Devin Anderson added 32 yards in the win. Isaiah Jones and Jimmy Williams added 185 and 71 receiving yards respectively.

Bryant Shirreffs rushed for 46 yards for UCONN, while Garrett Anderson added 17 yards. Garrett Anderson threw for 26 yards for the Huskies, while receivers Noel Thomas and Arkeel Newsome had 135 and 46 yards respectively.

UCONN was outgained by East Carolina 430-295 yards in Saturday’s match, while the important battle of first downs was won 25-14 by the Pirates.

UCONN lost the time of possession battle 32:31-27:29, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, East Carolina takes its act on the road to face Tulsa looking for another win. For UCONN, they head home to face Temple.
