The Chippewas were burned by Cody Thompson for 122 receiving yards on Saturday as the Rockets picked up a 31-17 win at Glass Bowl.

Toledo was the ATS victor, as they covered the -9.5-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 61.0 were rewarded at the payout window.

Kareem Hunt rushed for 87 yards, while Terry Swanson added 47 yards in the win. Cody Thompson and Corey Jones added 122 and 85 receiving yards respectively.

Devon Spalding rushed for 65 yards for Central Michigan, while Cooper Rush added 18 yards. Cooper Rush threw for 229 yards for the Chippewas, while receivers Tyler Conklin and Corey Willis had 74 and 73 yards respectively.

Central Michigan was outgained by Toledo 404-344 yards in Saturday’s match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-18 by the Rockets.

Central Michigan lost the time of possession battle 33:00-27:00, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Toledo looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Ohio. Central Michigan will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Kent State.
