UCF’s aerial attack produced 317 yards and the Knights produced a 24-16 victory over UCONN on Saturday at Rentschler Field.

UCF won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -4.0-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 45.5.

McKenzie Milton completed 29 of 45 pass attempts for 317 yards for the Knights in the win.

Arkeel Newsome rushed for 101 yards for UCONN, while Bryant Shirreffs added 49 yards. Ron Johnson threw for 0 yards for the Huskies, while receivers Noel Thomas and Alec Bloom had 165 and 20 yards respectively.

UCF was outgained by UCONN 413-400 yards in Saturday’s match, while the important battle of first downs was won 24-22 by the Huskies.

UCF lost the time of possession battle 33:14-26:46, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, UCF takes its act on the road to face Houston looking for another win. For UCONN, they head on the road to face East Carolina.
