Phillip Lindsay ran for 219 yards as Colorado handled Arizona State by a score of 40-16 on Saturday at Folsom Field.

Colorado was the ATS victor, as they covered the -11.0-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 62.0 were rewarded at the payout window.

Phillip Lindsay rushed for 219 yards, while Kyle Evans added 59 yards in the win. Bryce Bobo and Devin Ross added 110 and 46 receiving yards respectively.

Demario Richard rushed for 59 yards for Arizona State, while Kalen Ballage added 14 yards. Manny Wilkins threw for 149 yards for the Sun Devils, while receivers Tim White and Demario Richard had 97 and 14 yards respectively.

Colorado outgained Arizona State 580-199 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 27-7 by the Buffaloes.

Arizona State lost the time of possession battle 33:36-26:24, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Colorado takes its act on the road to face Stanford looking for another win. For Arizona State, they head home to face Washington State.

Phillip Lindsay rushed for 219 yards and three touchdowns to lead Colorado to a 40-16 victory over visiting Arizona State on Saturday night at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colo.

Sefo Liufau completed 23 of 31 passes for 265 yards for Colorado (5-2, 3-1 Pac-12 Conference), which beat the Sun Devils for the first time in school history after losing the first seven games in the series. Bryce Bobo had six catches for 110 yards for the Buffaloes, who are tied with Utah for first place in the Pac-12’s South Division.

Manny Wilkins threw for 149 yards on 13-of-35 passing with one touchdown and one interception for Arizona State (5-2, 2-2). Demario Richard rushed for 59 yards on 10 carries and Zane Gonzalez kicked three field goals of 50 yards or more, including a 59-yard blast.

Colorado went 81 yards on its opening possession to take a 7-0 lead on a 16-yard touchdown run by Kyle Evans. Arizona State tied the game when Wilkins threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Kody Kohl later in the first quarter.

The Buffaloes went up 10-7 on a 20-yard field goal by Davis Price in the second quarter, but the Sun Devils evened the score on a 51-yard field goal by Gonzalez. Liufau later scored on a 3-yard run and Lindsay scored on a 13-yard run to give the Buffaloes a 23-10 lead at the half.

Colorado extended its lead to 30-10 when Lindsay broke free for a 75-yard touchdown run on the first play of the third quarter. Gonzalez then kicked a 50-yard field goal for Arizona State, but the Buffaloes answered with a 36-yard field goal by Chris Graham late in the third.

Gonzalez booted a 59-yard field goal in the fourth quarter, surpassing his previous career best of 54 yards.
