Duke Carter IV tore up the turf for 104 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Warhawks to a 40-34 win over the Bobcats at Malone Stadium.

The Warhawks earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -10.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 65.0 were rewarded with a winning wager.

Duke Carter IV rushed for 104 yards, while Ben Luckett added 100 yards in the win. Alec Osborne and RJ Turner added 49 and 33 receiving yards respectively.

Stedman Mayberry rushed for 87 yards for Texas State, while Tyler Jones added 28 yards. Tyler Jones threw for 193 yards for the Bobcats, while receivers Gabe Schrade and Tyler Watts had 62 and 34 yards respectively.

Louisiana-Monroe outgained Texas State 477-317 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 31-19 by the Warhawks.

Louisiana-Monroe led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 42:00-18:00 split in that important category.

Next game, Louisiana-Monroe takes its act on the road to face New Mexico looking for another win. For Texas State, they head home to face Louisiana-Lafayette.
