 Matt Linehan’s 476-yard performance through the air was the key in Idaho’s 55-23 win over New Mexico State on Saturday at Kibbie Dome.

The Vandals were a -4.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 67.0.

Matt Linehan completed 29 of 36 pass attempts for 476 yards for the Vandals in the win.

Jason Huntley rushed for 32 yards for New Mexico State, while Larry Rose III added 32 yards. Tyler Rogers threw for 302 yards for the Aggies, while receivers Tyrain Taylor and Izaiah Lottie had 110 and 95 yards respectively.

New Mexico State was outgained by Idaho 651-428 yards in Saturday’s match, while the important battle of first downs was won 34-17 by the Vandals.

Idaho led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 38:57-21:03 split in that important category.

Idaho heads into a Week 8 battle against Appalachian State. New Mexico State, meanwhile, will have their next action against Georgia Southern.
