Teriyon Gipson tore up the turf for 140 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Lobos to a 45-40 win over the Falcons at Cotton Bowl.

New Mexico was the ATS victor, as they covered the +14.0-point spread as an underdog. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 53.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Teriyon Gipson rushed for 140 yards, while Tyrone Owens added 126 yards in the win. Q’ Drennan and Teriyon Gipson added 58 and 12 receiving yards respectively.

Jacobi Owens rushed for 106 yards for Air Force, while D.J. Johnson added 65 yards. Nate Romine threw for 280 yards for the Falcons, while receivers Jalen Robinette and Shayne Davern had 182 and 57 yards respectively.

New Mexico lost the offensive yardage battle to Air Force 531-443 yards in Saturday’s game. Air Force had more first downs as that total ended up 24-18.

Air Force lost the time of possession battle 31:25-28:35, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

New Mexico looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Louisiana-Monroe. Air Force will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Hawaii.
