James Butler ran for 175 yards as Nevada handled Fresno State by a score of 27-22 on Saturday at Mackay Stadium.

The Wolf Pack earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -8.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 54.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.

James Butler rushed for 175 yards, while Jaxson Kincaide added 52 yards in the win. Wyatt Demps and James Butler added 124 and 19 receiving yards respectively.

Dontel James rushed for 169 yards for Fresno State, while Treyvon Green added 29 yards. Chason Virgil threw for 197 yards for the Bulldogs, while receivers KeeSean Johnson and Jamire Jordan had 71 and 50 yards respectively.

Nevada lost the offensive yardage battle to Fresno State 452-389 yards in Saturday’s game. Fresno State had more first downs as that total ended up 25-23.

Fresno State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 32:08-27:52 split in that important category.

Nevada heads into a Week 7 battle against San Jose State. Fresno State, meanwhile, will have their next action against San Diego State.
