Tulsa got a 182-yard performance from D’Angelo Brewer as a key part of its 43-40 victory over the Mustangs on Friday at Chapman Stadium.

SMU was outgained by Tulsa 562-412 yards in Friday’s match, while the important battle of first downs was won 34-22 by the Golden Hurricane.

The time of possession battle favored Tulsa as their offense was on the field for 32:19, longer than the 27:41 of their opponents.

Tulsa heads into a Week 7 battle against Houston. SMU, meanwhile, will have their next action against Houston.
