Jalin Moore tore up the turf for 159 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Mountaineers to a 17-3 win over the Panthers at Kidd Brewer Stadium.

The Mountaineers won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -19.0-point spread. UNDER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an UNDER play.

Jalin Moore rushed for 159 yards, while Darrynton Evans added 33 yards in the win. Shaedon Meadors and Barrett Burns added 43 and 42 receiving yards respectively.

Kyler Neal rushed for 46 yards for Georgia State, while Darius Stubbs added 28 yards. Conner Manning threw for 153 yards for the Panthers, while receivers Robert Davis and Keith Rucker had 56 and 27 yards respectively.

Georgia State lost the offensive yardage battle to Appalachian State 361-241 yards in Saturday’s game. Appalachian State had more first downs as that total ended up 26-16.

The time of possession battle favored Appalachian State as their offense was on the field for 35:47, longer than the 24:13 of their opponents.

Appalachian State heads into a Week 7 battle against Louisiana-Lafayette. Georgia State, meanwhile, will have their next action against Texas State.
