The Ragin’ Cajuns were burned by Terren Encalade for 103 receiving yards on Saturday as the Green Wave picked up a 41-39 win at Yulman Stadium.

The Green Wave earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -3.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 46.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.

Dontrell Hilliard rushed for 49 yards, while Josh Rounds added 45 yards in the win. Terren Encalade and Darnell Mooney added 103 and 51 receiving yards respectively.

Elijah McGuire rushed for 89 yards for Louisiana-Lafayette, while Raymond Calais added 34 yards. Anthony Jennings threw for 240 yards for the Ragin’ Cajuns, while receivers Al Riles and Keenan Barnes had 70 and 56 yards respectively.

Tulane was outgained by Louisiana-Lafayette 377-311 yards in Saturday’s match, while the important battle of first downs was won 20-14 by the Ragin’ Cajuns.

Tulane lost the time of possession battle 31:10-28:50, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Tulane takes its act on the road to face Massachusetts looking for another win. For Louisiana-Lafayette, they head on the road to face New Mexico State.
