The Owls came up short against the Cardinals in Week 4 action on Saturday, falling 31-27 at FAU Stadium.

The Cardinals were a -3.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 56.0.

Riley Neal rushed for 74 yards, while Darian Green added 66 yards in the win. Corey Lacanaria and KeVonn Mabon added 62 and 56 receiving yards respectively.

Greg Howell rushed for 67 yards for Florida Atlantic, while Jason Driskel added 26 yards. Jason Driskel threw for 324 yards for the Owls, while receivers Kalib Woods and Nate Terry had 108 and 70 yards respectively.

Ball State outgained Florida Atlantic 488-445 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 28-20 by the Cardinals.

The time of possession battle favored Ball State as their offense was on the field for 30:44, longer than the 27:44 of their opponents.

Next game, Ball State takes its act home to face NIU looking for another win. For Florida Atlantic, they head on the road to face FIU.
