Charlotte couldn’t hang with the Owls on Saturday as Temple blasted the 49ers 48-20 in Week 4 action at Lincoln Financial Field.

Temple was a favorite by -27.0 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 53.5.

Jahad Thomas rushed for 68 yards, while Ryquell Armstead added 33 yards in the win. Brodrick Yancy and Adonis Jennings added 70 and 51 receiving yards respectively.

Kalif Phillips rushed for 114 yards for Charlotte, while Ben Lemay added 44 yards. Kevin Olsen threw for 198 yards for the 49ers, while receivers T.L. Ford and Austin Duke had 92 and 26 yards respectively.

Charlotte was outgained by Temple 507-429 yards in Saturday’s match, while the important battle of first downs was won 26-25 by the Owls.

Next game, Temple takes its act home to face SMU looking for another win. For Charlotte, they head home to face Old Dominion.
