Jalin Moore tore up the turf for 257 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Mountaineers to a 45-38 win over the Zips at InfoCision Stadium.

The Mountaineers were a -5.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 58.0.

Jalin Moore rushed for 257 yards, while Taylor Lamb added 23 yards in the win. Shaedon Meadors and T.J. Watkins added 51 and 41 receiving yards respectively.

Van Edwards, Jr. rushed for 89 yards for Akron, while Manny Morgan added 37 yards. Tommy Woodson threw for 353 yards for the Zips, while receivers Jerome Lane and Bruce Natson had 134 and 87 yards respectively.

The time of possession battle favored Appalachian State as their offense was on the field for 33:53, longer than the 26:07 of their opponents.

Next game, Appalachian State takes its act home to face Georgia State looking for another win. For Akron, they head on the road to face Kent State.
