The Avalanche came up short Sunday against the Blues, falling 5-1.

St. Louis was favored by -145 and came through for bettors backing them. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 5.0.

Alex Pietrangelo, Magnus Paajarvi, Troy Brouwer, Colton Parayko, and David Backes each scored for the Blues in the victory. Backes opened the scoring for St. Louis.

Colorado lost the shots on goal battle to St. Louis by a margin of 39-31.

St. Louis looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Coyotes. The Avalanche will aim to get back on the winning track at Nashville.
