Vegas Coverage Handicapping tips: New Jersey Devils the away team will win, VC picks New Jersey Devils.

The Devils came up short Friday against the Flyers, falling 4-3.

Bettors who backed the Flyers were rewarded as +120 underdogs at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 5.0.

Claude Giroux, Matt Read, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, and Wayne Simmonds each scored for the Flyers in the victory. Simmonds opened the scoring for Philadelphia.

Cory Schneider stopped 21 of 25 shots for the Devils, but it wasn’t enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Philadelphia went 2-for-3, while the Devils were 1-for-4 with the man advantage.

New Jersey lost the shots on goal battle to Philadelphia by a margin of 25-18.

Next game, Philadelphia takes its act home to face Columbus looking for another win. For New Jersey, they head home to face Florida.
