Vegas Coverage Handicapping tips: Tennessee Volunteers the home team will beat the Spread-8½, VC picks Tennessee Volunteers.

Jalen Hurd tore up the turf for 151 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Volunteers to a 19-8 win over the Tigers at Memorial Stadium.

The Volunteers were a -6.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 43.0.

Jalen Hurd rushed for 151 yards, while Joshua Dobbs added 54 yards in the win. Josh Malone and Von Pearson added 35 and 28 receiving yards respectively.

Russell Hansbrough rushed for 41 yards for Missouri, while Ish Witter added 28 yards. Drew Lock threw for 135 yards for the Tigers, while receivers Wesley Leftwich and Cam Hilton had 41 and 41 yards respectively.

Missouri lost the offensive yardage battle to Tennessee 337-223 yards in Saturday’s game. Tennessee had more first downs as that total ended up 19-10.

The time of possession battle favored Tennessee as their offense was on the field for 36:18, longer than the 23:42 of their opponents.

Next game, Tennessee takes its act home to face Vanderbilt looking for another win. For Missouri, they head on the road to face Arkansas.
