New Mexico State got a 191-yard performance from Larry Rose III as a key part of its 37-34 victory over the Ragin’ Cajuns on Saturday at Cajun Field.

Larry Rose III rushed for 191 yards, while Andrew Allen added 30 yards in the win. Tyrain Taylor and Gregory Hogan added 91 and 84 receiving yards respectively.

Elijah McGuire rushed for 159 yards for Louisiana-Lafayette, while Torrey Pierce added 17 yards. Brooks Haack threw for 283 yards for the Ragin’ Cajuns, while receivers Jamal Robinson and Al Riles had 183 and 49 yards respectively.

New Mexico State outgained Louisiana-Lafayette 498-475 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 27-23 by the Aggies.

The time of possession battle favored Louisiana-Lafayette as their offense was on the field for 31:29, longer than the 28:31 of their opponents.

New Mexico State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Arkansas State. Louisiana-Lafayette will aim to get back on the winning track at Appalachian State.
