The battle between the Crimson Tide and Buccaneers didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Charleston Southern was handed a 56-6 defeat on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Alabama won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -40.0-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 50.0.

Bo Scarbrough rushed for 69 yards, while Derrick Henry added 68 yards in the win. Calvin Ridley and ArDarius Stewart added 49 and 45 receiving yards respectively.

Kelan Fraise rushed for 39 yards for Charleston Southern, while Kyle Copeland added 25 yards. Austin Brown threw for 3 yards for the Buccaneers, while receivers Saire Davis and Kevin Glears had 35 and 14 yards respectively.

Charleston Southern lost the offensive yardage battle to Alabama 403-134 yards in Saturday’s game. Alabama had more first downs as that total ended up 23-8.

Charleston Southern led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:18-28:42 split in that important category.
