Vegas Coverage Handicapping tips: Virginia Cavaliers the away team will beat the Spread -2.5, VC picks Virginia Cavaliers.

Virginia’s aerial attack produced 344 yards and the Cavaliers produced a 42-34 victory over Duke on Saturday at Scott Stadium.

The Cavaliers were a +2.5-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 53.0.

Matt Johns completed 24 of 33 pass attempts for 344 yards for the Cavaliers in the win.

Thomas Sirk rushed for 38 yards for Duke, while Jela Duncan added 27 yards. Parker Boehme threw for 178 yards for the Blue Devils, while receivers T.J. Rahming and Anthony Nash had 190 and 104 yards respectively.

Duke lost the offensive yardage battle to Virginia 502-485 yards in Saturday’s game. Duke had more first downs as that total ended up 29-25.

Virginia led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:56-26:04 split in that important category.

Virginia looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Virginia Tech. Duke will aim to get back on the winning track at Wake Forest.
