The Bills WR Percy Harvin was put on injured reserve Saturday, this move will probably end his season and career in Buffalo.

Cornerback Leodis McKelvin was switched from the Bills reserve/non-football injury list to take Harvin’s spot.

Harvis, who has been dealing with hip soreness since training camp, hasn’t played since Oct.11. According to coach Rex Ryan, the player did not go to London with the team last month because of personal reasons. Harvis will not be able to play Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins as a result of a knee injury.

Harvin played the first five games of the 2015 season, catching 19 passes for 218 yards and one touchdown. He will meet wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal, who coached him last season while he was playing with the New York Jets.

Harvin committed to a three-year deal in March with the Bills, however the two final seasons of his deal will be canceled if he’s on the Bills’ roster five days after the Super Bowl, plus a  $3 million signing bonus.

McKelvin might play Sunday’s game for the first time since he broke his ankle playing against the Dolphins in November 2014. The player returned to practice last month, after he was placed on the non-football injury list in July.

According to defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman, Ronald Darby will keep his starting job even though McKelvin returned.
