Vegas Coverage Handicapping tips: West Virginia Mountaineers the away team will beat the Spread -7.5, VC Picks West Virginia Mountaineers.

Texas Tech was unable to contain DeAndre Washington on Saturday and the result was a 31-26 Week 10 loss against the Mountaineers.

West Virginia did not, however, defeat the Red Raiders against the spread, which closed at -7.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 80.5.

DeAndre Washington rushed for 102 yards, while Patrick Mahomes added 73 yards in the win. DeAndre Washington and Cameron Batson added 64 and 33 receiving yards respectively.

Wendell Smallwood rushed for 163 yards for Texas Tech, while Rushel Shell added 111 yards. Skyler Howard threw for 149 yards for the Red Raiders, while receivers Ka’Raun White and Jordan Thompson had 80 and 23 yards respectively.

Texas Tech lost the offensive yardage battle to West Virginia 449-378 yards in Saturday’s game. West Virginia had more first downs as that total ended up 28-23.

Texas Tech lost the time of possession battle 30:14-29:46, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, West Virginia takes its act home to face Texas looking for another win. For Texas Tech, they head home to face Kansas State.
