Greg Hardy was arrested a year and a half ago after he was charged with attacking and threatening his former girlfriend, Nicole Holder. Now for the first time public can look at the injuries Hardy allegedly caused on her.

On the pictures you can see Holder with several bruises all over her body, and also Hardy’s face with marks.

The Dallas Cowboys player was a member of the Carolina Panthers back then. Hardy was accused by Holder of pushing her against a bathroom wall, and also throwing her on a bed which had assault rifles on it. According to Holder, he choked her and threatened her life.

During a trial in 2014, Hardy was convicted on charges of domestic violence against Holder. The player then appealed, seeking for a jury trial, however the case was discontinued in February 2015, when the victim did not cooperate with the authorities.

The incident is not listed on Hardy’s record, after he requested that the charges be erased from his record in April, and a judge in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, signed the order this week.

After this incident, Hardy did not play football for one year.

According to the Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Hardy is a “real leader” and the team was hopeful of extending him.

After the photos were released on Friday, neither the League nor the Cowboys made comments. The NFL players Association also did not respond to a request for comment.

At first Hardy was suspended by the NFL on April 22 for the first 10 games of this season, however arbitrator Harold Henderson reduced the suspension to four games on July 10.

Hardy returned to the field on Oct. 11.
