Pittsburgh fans were sad as they saw star running back Le’Veon Bell leave the field carted in Sunday’s 16-10 loss to the Bengals. Bell’s right knee was bent backwards during a tackle near the sideline.

The injury happened after Bell caught a pass from QB Ben Roethlisberger in the second quarter, and Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict tackled him, after this it looks like he was celebrating with his teammates.

Bell did not return to the field and was further evaluated, the player took the social media to thank fans for their support, “I appreciate the concern and support from everybody who’s sent me txts, tweets, phone calls, etc…I’ll be okayy, love youu all!”

During the postgame news conference, Mike Tomlin did not update Bell’s injury status, but Bell’s teammates noticed Burfict’s celebration.

“He’s that type of guy,” Steelers guard Ramon Foster said about Burfict. “That type of guy will get his sooner or later. … If you’ve played against him, you know what I mean by it. He’ll play it off, act dumb about it, but you don’t run across the field acting hyped, celebrating, jumping up and down when a guy goes down like that.”

After the game Burfict stated he was not aware of Bell’s injury, and that they were friends.

Bell was on the ground for several minutes, and trainers helped the player leave the field.

Cam Heyward said he’s going to “pray for my guy Le’Veon. … It’s an unfortunate situation.”
