Dez Bryant missed practice all week and was listed as doubtful. The player got injured during the team’s 27-26 victory against the Giants. Next Sunday will be six weeks since he broke his right foot.

The Cowboys left a day earlier to visit the 9/11 memorial.

Bryant was seen doing some conditioning work on the side during practice, after the player made his first appearance last week during the bye.

Besides Bryant, The Cowboys 0-3 also miss Tony Romo, who suffered a fracture in his left collarbone just a week after Bryant, and will be absent for at least four more games.

After missing two of the team’s top offensive stars, the Cowboys are considering a quarterback change, some extra rest and a matchup against a team they haven’t lost to in three years, this might help the team get back on track.

Matt Cassel was called to play against the Giants on Sunday, after Brandon Weeden failed to effectively move the offense in a 30-6 home loss to New England. Cassel a veteran of 72 career starts came from Buffalo only two days after Romo fractured his collarbone in a Sept. 20 victory at Philadelphia.

“He knows the offense and you can tell he’s a veteran pro,” according to Cowboys quarterbacks coach Wade Wilson. “He has great command out there. The guys respond to him. He’s a sharp guy and has picked things up very quickly.”
