After losing Game 1 and 2 of the American League Championship Series in Kansas City, the Toronto Blue Jays are heading back home to their rain-proof Rogers Centre.

Baseball fans wouldn’t be surprised if the Jays manage to hit some balls the other way, score some runs, and why not, win Game 3, 4 and 5 of the ALCS.

“We hit home runs,” Blue Jays manager John Gibbons stated Sunday afternoon. “We’re built for our park. We’re built for the division we play in. Really, that’s our trademark. If we’re going to win, we need to score.”

The Jays made it to the postseason after 22 years, with an incredible performance. They led the majors with 891 runs and 232 homers, and scored 48.1 percent of their regular-season runs on homers. This is the sixth highest ratio in the majors.

They feel really inspired when they playing home, with a .485 slugging percentage at home this season, the Jays are the second after the Colorado Rockies (.489) among major league teams.

“They swing for the fences all the time,” said Royals outfielder Lorenzo Cain. “That’s just what they do. Those guys hit home runs. They slug.”

To put it in simple words, the Blue Jays will have to win four of their next five games to advance to the World Series.
