DeSean Jackson Washington Redskins receiver, has been listed as out and will miss his fifth game in a row after he suffered a strained left hamstring, making his teams’ list of injured players bigger.

During the teams practice on Thursday, Jackson was limited and felt a “twinge” in his hamstring, and stopped practicing because of this, this made The Redskins’ hope that he might play Sunday against the New York Jets disappeared.

The player will not return until he’s 100 percent, said Redskins coach Jay Gruden. The already weakened offense will not be able to count on Jackson’s appearance for next game. The Redskins will be playing without Trent Williams (concussion), center Kory Lichtensteiger (shoulder) and tight end Jordan Reed (concussion).

Since Jackson’s injury, the Redskins has not had many bursting plays, the team is ranking 24th in the NFL with only 13 pass plays of 20 yards or more. Jackson led last year’s NFL with 13 catches of at least 40 yards.

QB Kirk Cousins has faced a difficult task against the Jets, they held opposing quarterbacks to an NFL-best 62.3 passer rating.

Ryan Grant is a second-year receiver, with six catches for 49 yards the past two weeks, and he will replace Jackson. If the Redskins need a receiver with speed, they can use Rashad Ross.

Cornerbacks DeAngelo Hall (toe) and Chris Culliver (knee) will not be available for the The Redskins when they face the Jets.

With this high number of injuries, there might be a chance for quarterback Robert Griffin III, the player hasn’t been active during this season.
