Sunday could be the day that EJ Manuel starts as quarterback for the Buffalo Bills replacing injured Tyrod Taylor.

Manuel took most of first-team snaps during practice this week as the Bills get ready to host the undefeated Cincinnati Bengals.

Taylor, who has been listed officially as questionable with a knee injury, was not able to persuade Rex Ryan and the Bills coaching staff that he will be ready to play against the Bengals.

Till this moment the Bills have not named a starting quarterback yet for this week. According to Ryan, Taylor is “feeling a lot better” but if they decide to let him play, it would be a game-time decision.

Manuel was Buffalo’s first-round draft pick in 2013, but lost the starting job to Taylor during the preseason, he hasn’t played this year yet. Manuel, who is 25 years old appeared in five games last season, he completed 58 percent of his passes for 838 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions.

Meanwhile, Taylor, who is 26 years old has boosted the Bills to a 3-2 record in his first season as a starting quarterback, but suffered a sprained MCL in last week’s victory against the Tennessee Titans.
