Cameron Jordan the New Orleans Saints defensive end found himself involved in an alleged altercation at a nightclub on Sept. 6, said a spokesman from the New Orleans District Attorney’s office.
There is no probable cause to file charges, according to the New Orleans Police Department. The case was passed to the District Attorney’s office for a review. The District Attorney’s office agreed with the NOPD’s decision, said Assistant District Attorney Christopher Bowman.
The player was accused of confronting a man and splashing Champagne on him and his girlfriend when they were inside the nightclub. The police report stated that Jordan was being disrespectful toward the man’s girlfriend, so the man followed the player into the bathroom to reprimand him for it.
According to him, Jordan said “I can have any bitch that I want” and then picked the man up in the air while people passing by took pictures. The man said Jordan then told him, before he put him down that he has truck people for less. After this the player approached their table and splashed a bottle of Champagne on them, according to the couple.
Jordan’s attorneys referred to the accusations as “ridiculous” and pictured the accuser as a “jealous boyfriend.”
The player declared “I’m gonna let the system play out as it shall and do my best to focus on every game and focus on the next day, being the best player, being the best captain, being the best dad that I can be.”
