Greg Hardy hasn’t played his first game with the Dallas Cowboys after his league suspension, but he is already making headlines. This time is a video recorded in 2014 in Charlotte, North Carolina, when he was still playing with the Carolina Panthers.

In the video, Hardy says “It’ll be a cold day in hell before your girl tries to play me.” And the chorus is “What you see is what you get. I’m just me. I’m just real and that’s what I do.” The Cowboys refused to make comments about the incident.

The player made comments Tuesday about coming out “guns blazing” on Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots, and he also talked about Tom Brady’s wife, while avoiding questions about what kept him out of the field the past 19 regular-season games.

In July 2014 a judge found Hardy guilty of assaulting and threatening to kill his then-girlfriend, and received a 60-day suspended sentence and 18 months of probation on misdemeanor charges. But player appealed and requested a jury trial, so the sentence was set aside. The charges were later discharged when Nicole Holder, the accuser, decided not to cooperate with the district attorney. At first Hardy received a 10 games suspension by the NFL, but later was reduced to four games after appeal.

The player signed a one-year deal, which does not include any guaranteed money with the Cowboys.
