On February 3, 2008, wide receiver David Tyree made the amazing “Helmet Catch” during the final two minutes of Super Bowl XLII. This time, Janoris Jenkins, a cornerback for the St. Louis Rams recreated the moment, intercepting Carson Palmer in the end zone, at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. This play was essential as the Rams carry out an upset against the, until now undefeated Cardinals, winning 24-22.

During the second quarter, the Arizona QB, Carson Palmer dropped back to pass, and fired the ball. The intended pass for John Brown, went more than 60 yards in the air. Jenkins managed to amazingly press the ball against his helmet with his right hand, and then hit the turf in the end zone for a touchback. This is not the first acrobatic interception for Jenkins.
