D’erren Wilson was good for 114 receiving yards on Saturday as the Green Wave grabbed a 45-31 win over the Knights at Yulman Stadium.
The Green Wave were a +2.0-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 44.0.
Taj McGowan rushed for 11 yards, while C.J. Jones added 0 yards in the win. D’erren Wilson and Chris Johnson added 114 and 113 receiving yards respectively.
Josh Rounds rushed for 93 yards for Central Florida, while Rob Kelley added 35 yards. Tanner Lee threw for 190 yards for the Knights, while receivers Teddy Veal and Devon Breaux had 80 and 61 yards respectively.
Central Florida lost the offensive yardage battle to Tulane 395-357 yards in Saturday’s game. Central Florida had more first downs as that total ended up 20-17.
The time of possession battle favored Tulane as their offense was on the field for 33:48, longer than the 26:12 of their opponents.
Tulane heads into a Week 6 battle against Temple. Central Florida, meanwhile, will have their next action against Connecticut.
