Trevone Boykin’s 509-yard performance through the air was the key in TCU’s 55-52 win over Texas Tech on Saturday at Jones AT&T Stadium.

Trevone Boykin completed 34 of 54 pass attempts for 509 yards for the Horned Frogs in the win.
DeAndre Washington rushed for 188 yards for Texas Tech, while Patrick Mahomes added 36 yards. Patrick Mahomes threw for 392 yards for the Red Raiders, while receivers Jakeem Grant and Devin Lauderdale had 123 and 111 yards respectively.
Texas Tech was outgained by TCU 750-607 yards in Saturday’s match, while the important battle of first downs was won 37-32 by the Horned Frogs.
TCU led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:57-25:03 split in that important category.
Next game, TCU takes its act home to face Texas looking for another win. For Texas Tech, they head home to face Baylor.
