The Morris brothers were living their fairy tale life as they both lived, worked, practiced and did so much more together, the combination proved to be rewarding for the Phoenix Suns as they played very well and were recognized for their efforts.

While Marcus became an eminent rotation player, Markieff was named 6th Man of the Year candidate to then become a full time starter, both producing almost 26 points and 11 rebounds in 55 minutes per game last season as Marcus started in 35 games and Markieff in all 82.

The Phoenix Suns lived a successful 2013-14 season with the twins on board and of course wanted them to stick together, thus agreeing to an extension which manifested president of basketball operation’s Lon Babby’s plan of pairing them together.

And then came the split. As the 2014-15 season began so did the conflicts caused by the twins, they were grumpy both on and off the court, causing them to find excuses and problems everywhere and at every game, from the media to the coach, including the fans and referees, nothing was good enough and in the end it became just plain unbearable thus causing the end of the twins era.
From Goran Dragic lashing out to P.J. Tucker’s suspensions and Isaiah Thomas menaces, the Phoenix Suns were in trouble finding more problems than solutions.

With Marcus traded to the Detroit Pistons and Markieff still with the Phoenix Suns as the starting power forward, they still have to face the consequences of their actions, since they’ve both been charged with 2 counts of aggravated assault this past January, an event that evolved between 2 home games and it goes without saying that this can cause them an NBA suspension or more severe consequences such as jail time.

As of now there is no communication between GM Ryan McDonough and Makieff Morris, regardless of some failed attempts from McDonough, so the question remains, will there be a rainbow at the end of the storm?
