Finishing with 2 defensive rebounds, 2 offensive and scoring 4 points, the Dallas Mavericks center Satnam Singh, stepped in just in time as the Mavericks beats the Los Angeles Lakers 88 to 86.

Born in a village in the Barmala district of Punjab, India, close to the Pakistan border, from wheat farmers, his father, Balbir was the tallest of his village. At 9 years of age, the story repeated itself, making Satnam the tallest in his village, that’s when his father took him to a local basketball court and with a hoop that he placed in the courtyard, Satnam continued to practice and play thus attracting the village’s attention.

By the age of 13 he was already 6’11” and wore size 18 shoes, he had already participated in youth leagues and started dominating his opponents. He was later on enrolled in the LBA
(Ludhiana Basketball Academy) where he mastered most of his basketball skills.

Satnam idolized NBA player Kobe Bryant and started mimicking his game.

Now a member of the Dallas Mavericks, Singh is showing the world what he’s made of.
