Tim Duncan and his $10 million dollar deal with the Spurs

San Antonio Spurs officially extended Tim Duncan for two years and approximately 10 million dollars.  Same as for the LeBron James’s new contract, the second year is optional, with a clause to be activated by the player. Having given himself a few weeks of reflection after the Spurs elimination at the double MVP, he confirmed his intention to extend the adventure with the NBA for at least one more year.

This legend is one of the 15 greatest players of all time and is still an All-Star, now, 39 years old, Duncan made $10.4 million dollars last year and agreed to divide his salary in two, thus leaving more than enough cap space to afford  LaMarcus Aldridge and extend the contracts of Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green and Manu Ginobili. A choice which seduced David West.
