Patriots: LaFell speaking on behalf of Garoppolo

The Patriots still have no idea which quarterback will they use to begin the season, Tom Brady is still appealing his suspension while Roger Goodell, commissioner of the National Football League, as not pronounced his decision yet. The verdict will be rendered sometime next week, according to sources.

In the meantime, the franchise is getting ready to give the keys of the truck to Jimmy Garoppolo, the young quarterback whom they selected in the second ballot of the 2014 draft.

The former Eastern Illinois player was still never appointed on a permanent basis in the NFL, it is to say that he’s never felt the pressure he’s about too especially that he has recently had difficulties in training.

Brandon LaFell expressed himself on this matter during a conversation with Bruce Murray:

“I think that learning alongside Tom Brady is a big advantage for him. If we have to make do without Tom for the first matches, I am certain that he will help Jimmy Garoppolo in every possible way so that he’s ready to lead the troops. We have the ideal group of guys around him to remove the pressure of his shoulders. With me, Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Scott Chandler, LeGarrette Blount, Aaron Dobson, we all need to raise our level of game.”

The Pittsburgh Steelers, the Buffalo Bills, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Dallas Cowboys, these are the teams this young 23 years old will be facing, with no mercy, if is mentor’s suspension is not diminished, if not annulled.

Even if the titleholders have the necessary talent to win without their mentor, they will need a collective effort to stay on point.
