Drew Gooden should extend is career with the Washington Wizards. Present in the capital for now two seasons, his size and his outside shot are precious for Randy Wittman, especially with Paul Pierce’s departure. Soon to be 34 years old, the former Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Buck, will probably sign for a season, at a minimum veteran salary of 1.4 million dollars.

The Wizards can then attack on the other free agents whom they could extend, such as Rasual Butler, Kevin Séraphin and Will Bynum.

The 6’10”, 250 lb power forward Andrew Melvin “Drew” Gooden III is played collegiately at the University of Kansas. Last season he proved is worth in the playoffs on the same salary of $1.4 million and this season alone, earned more minutes than in all previous seasons since 2011-2012. He’s averaged 6.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
