Be careful what you wish for! When Defensive end, Muhammad Wilkerson, joined the New York Jets, he was looking for more money.

And now it seems that he’s going to get some. Due to Sheldon Richardson’s suspension of 4 games for being in violation with the substance abuse policy of the League, the Jets end up with a serious problem on their hand if they can’t satisfy Wilkerson.

All he really wanted was to be rewarded for his work and is $7 million 5th year option is far from gratifying. Although he omitted the non mandatory offseason which did not cost him a thing, it would cost him $30 000 a day if he were to skip training camp but consider this, would you go into a season without a pair of starters on the line?

So this just might be a clever way for Wilkerson to make them understand and reconsider.
