DeAndre Jordan decided to join Dallas. While he hesitated between the Mavericks and the Clippers, this center will accept the contract of the Texans of $80 million over four years.

For Doc Rivers it’s a very hard blow, especially since the team did not really recruit enough good centers to replace DeAndre Jordan. Unless he succeeds in mounting a sign-and-trade triangle with Dallas and another team or he obtains a trade exception in exchange for his center, which would then allow him to absorb the contract of Roy Hibbert.

As for the Dallas Mavericks, they’re already rubbing there hands. Although the decision is not yet official, the center reportedly announced his intention to Mark Cuban, who just got a hold of two sough after free agents since Wesley Matthews has also verbally agreed.
