After making his farewell to Portland, Nicolas Batum was officially presented to the Charlotte Hornets before the press.

Traded a few days ago by the Portland Trailblazers against Noah Vonleh and Gerald Henderson, Batum experienced a difficult last season because of numerous injuries but this trade could eventually represent an excellent opportunity for the Frenchman to revival himself through the NBA.

With Al Jefferson and Kemba Walker, Nicolas Batum now as responsibilities among the Hornets and he intends to seize this opportunity to bring his new team in the playoffs.

“I know my role will be different and I like it. I know I can do many things on the floor, I’m really a versatile player. Our association with Kemba Walker can be a success. I was happy when I learned the interest of the Hornets, I feel I am able to bring this project in the right direction”, said Nicolas Batum at the Charlotte Observer.”

He is rather convincing on paper including Kemba Walker, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Al Jefferson. As we indicated earlier, the trade of the Charlotte Hornets Nicolas Batum is rather good news for the career of the Frenchman, it is now up to him to regain his good physical shape and take advantage of this new beginning.
