Ammon Lakip, Clemson Tigers kicker, was arrested on June 6 in South Carolina after being pulled aside by a police officer while he was having difficulty keeping is car in lane, the officer than noticed that Lakip was performing poorly during the field sobriety test, and apparently found 0.4 grams of cocaine in a lip balm container. The incident happened in Pickens County and Lakip charges are listed as first offences.

Needless to say that Clemson kicker was sent home immediately and suspended indefinitely from all activities, leaving him to be evaluated for his 2015 season later this summer.

Starting all 13 games for the Tigers in the previous season and stepping into his senior year He was 21 for 28 on field goals and 43 for 44 on extra points.

In the police report obtained by TigerNet, it was revealed that the car was leaving the area of several bars and that the police officer noticed a fixed blank glassy glaze in the driver’s face as he passed him giving the impression of being under the influence. As the police officer began following him he noticed the vehicle drifting several times impeding the boarded dotted line to the left.

So now with Bradley Pinion gone and Lakip suspended, the next best option is young Redshirt freshman Alex Spence.
